The area
The center of Renesse is within walking distance. A large supermarket and restaurants are nearby. Renesse is commonly known as a bustling seaside resort. But there’s so much more than that.
Renesse is surrounded by greenery, picturesque spots, and beach. Because of the location of the campsite just outside the center, our guests benefit from both; the peace and quiet in the beautiful nature of Zeeland and the lively Renesse.

OUR TIPS FOR YOUR HOLIDAY IN RENESSE – OUT IN THE AIR
THE BEACH (1,5 km) – The island Schouwen-Duiveland is privileged with 17 kilometers of sandy beach. From the campsite, you can reach the beach of Renesse by bike or on foot.
NATURE RESERVES – Camping de Toekomst is located on the edge of Renesse, close to the ‘Vroongronden’. A beautiful place for cycling, surrounded by nature. Schouwen-Duiveland has many more nature reserves. For example Boswachterij Westenschouwen, which borders the adjacent village. There are plenty of cycle paths, hiking trails, horse trails and even a mountain bike route in the area.
DE BROUWERSDAM (7 km) – This is a beach where sports are allowed, a popular place for kitesurfing. You can also go here for blokarting, kite-lessons and even stand up paddling.
HORSE RIDING – At about 1000 meters from the campsite is riding school Manege Grol.
BICYCLE RENTAL – You can rent bikes at various locations in the vicinity.
Cultural day trips close to Renesse
Bunkers – Along the coastline of Schouwen-Duiveland you find many intact remained bunkers. Take a walk along the bunkers or go and take a look inside on one of the special opening days.
Slot Haamstede in Burgh-Haamstede (4 km) – Go on an excursion through the castle garden and discover the secrets of this 13th-century castle.
Deltawerken (15 km) – Visit the famous storm surge barrier.
Watersnoodmuseum (23 km) – An impressive museum about the flood disaster in 1953.

Deltapark Neeltje Jans (15 km) – Educational theme park.
Speeltuin de Flipjes (17 km) – Large outdoor playground.
De Mekkerstee (17 km) – Goatfarm, nice to combine with Speeltuin de Flipjes

Uitspanningsmolen de Jonge Johannes (27 km) – Free playground adjacent to a terrace and restaurant.
Klok’uus (37 km) – Large playground, indoor and outdoor.
Berkenhof’s Tropical Zoo (45 km) – Tropical animals, playing-jungle and dinosaurs-expo.
Diergaarde Blijdorp (63 km) – One of the oldest zoos in the Netherlands.

The campsite is closed during the winter months.
In 2025 we are open from March 28th to October 26th.
